Description
Performance & Reliability
-
Heat Dissipation: Most Mira models use solid or vented front disks depending on the specific trim. At this price point, you are likely getting the standard solid disk which is perfectly balanced for the Mira’s light curb weight.
-
Smooth Braking: Being an original part, the thickness matches factory specs exactly, which prevents pedal vibration (juddering) and ensures even brake pad wear.
-
Safety: Designed to meet strict Japanese safety standards (JIS), offering reliable “bite” even during emergency stops.
Compatibility Table
The Daihatsu Mira shares its braking architecture with several other “Kei” cars:
| Model | Chassis Code | Year Range |
| Daihatsu Mira | L275S, L285S, L275V | 2006 – 2018 |
| Daihatsu Mira e:S | LA300S, LA310S | 2011 – 2017 |
| Daihatsu Move | L175S, L185S | 2006 – 2010 |
| Toyota Pixis Epoch | LA300A | 2012 – 2017 |
| Subaru Pleo | L275F, L285F | 2010 – 2018 |
Pro-Tip for Installation
-
Measurement: Ensure the disk diameter matches your current one (standard Mira disks are usually around 211mm or 234mm).
-
Pairs: It is highly recommended to replace brake disks in pairs (both front wheels) to ensure balanced braking and prevent the car from pulling to one side.
-
New Pads: Never install old, worn brake pads on a “new” Grade 1 disk. Always fit a fresh set of pads to allow the surfaces to “mate” correctly.
